REWE Final4: HBL announces Ticket Refund
Due to the remaining uncertainty about which comprehensive protective measures will have to be taken in June, in addition to the reduction of spectator capacities for distance maintenance and contact tracking, Handball-Bundesliga GmbH has come to the conclusion that a refund of all tickets sold to date for the REWE Final4 is unavoidable.
After the REWE Final4, which is the official final weekend of DHB-Pokal 2020, had to be postponed several times due to the Corona pandemic, a rescheduling to June 5 & 6, 2021 has been fixed since December. Until the very end, the primary goal was to maintain the validity of all tickets beyond the postponements in order to offer all ticket buyers, fans and club supporters the opportunity to participate in the LIQUI MOLY HBL season highlight despite all the circumstances.
However, the Corona pandemic and the far-reaching restrictions continue to dominate both, public life and the sports world. As a result, it must be assumed that the final weekend cannot be played as usual in front of a sold-out arena with 13,200 spectators.
It is still not foreseeable what comprehensive protective measures will have to be taken in June, in addition to the reduction of spectator capacity to maintain distance and contact tracking. Therefore, after intensive examination and obtaining expert opinions and experience from the sports, event and ticketing industries, Handball-Bundesliga GmbH has come to the decision to reverse all tickets sold to date.
All tickets already sold for the REWE Final4 for the DHB-Pokal 2020 (original date April 04 & 05, 2020) will thus lose their validity. All ticket holders are entitled to a refund of the basic ticket price. You can find information on the reversal process here.
Reorganization of ticket sales
In high hopes LIQUI MOLY HBL is making the best possible preparations for the reorganization of ticket sales for the REWE Final4. To ensure that the event can take place with spectator participation after all, detailed hygiene and safety concepts and functions for personalization in ticketing are being developed. The safety of visitors, athletes and employees has top priority.
Despite this intensive preparation, no binding availability of tickets can be guaranteed at this time. The admission of spectators depends on the health development of the pandemic and the official orders.
