LIQUI MOLY HBL: Upcoming matchdays are officially scheduled

Cologne, Germany, January 12, 2021 - Handball-Bundesliga today announced the exact schedules for matchdays 17 to 19 of LIQUI MOLY HBL.

After the 27th IHF Men's Handball World Championship in Egypt (January 13 - 31), the LIQUI MOLY HBL will start the 17th matchday on Saturday, February 06, with five matches.

Five further matches are scheduled for Sunday, February 07. The top match on this day will be contested by SG Flensburg-Handewitt and SC Magdeburg. The Champions-League winners of THW Kiel will return to the championship fray on the same day against SC DHfK Leipzig. This match will be broadcasted live by Sky from 4:00 PM onwards.

Also scheduled is the clash between the reigning German champions from Kiel and SC Magdeburg on matchday 19 (February 21, 4:00 PM). All games of LIQUI MOLY HBL can be seen live on Sky. More details are provided within the official schedule of LIQUI MOLY HBL.

The HBL additionally announces the following regulation with matchday relevance: Teams of LIQUI MOLY HBL and 2. HBL whose players will participate in the semifinals of the 27th World Championship, have the option of submitting a request to postpone the first match after the winter break. This must be received by HBL by January 29 at the latest. Besides, HBL is creating a window of opportunity to accommodate any pandemic-related restrictions. If applications are received, HBL will reschedule these matches.
